Inclement Weather

Kindergarten sessions will continue as normal unless the Education Bureau (EDB) announces that kindergartens are to close.

The kindergarten will close for the session (morning or afternoon).

If the warning is still in place at 10:30 am, the afternoon session will be cancelled and the kindergarten will remain closed all day.

If the warning is lowered before 10:30 am, the afternoon session will proceed as usual and the school buses will operate (unless EDB announces that kindergartens are to close).

If a T3 or T8 signal is still in place at 10:30 am, the afternoon session will be cancelled and the kindergarten will remain closed all day.

If the signal is lowered to T1 before 10:30 am, the afternoon session will proceed as usual and the school buses will operate (unless EDB announces that kindergartens are to close).

Children may be released to a parent (or designated responsible adult, with parental permission), however, kindergartens will not request parents to come to collect their children in dangerous conditions.

If school buses can be arranged when the relevant signals are lowered, they should run. If not, the kindergarten will advise parents (or designated responsible adult) to collect their children from kindergarten when it is safe to do so.

Kindergartens that lie in areas prone to flooding or landslips will monitor conditions and take the necessary precautionary measures.

Children may stay at kindergarten and travel home on the school bus at the scheduled time.

Parents may arrange to collect their child before the end of the session and should inform the kindergarten of their intention.
